Energy saving tips!

When the cold weather strikes this winter, it is best to be prepared before it happens. Here are some useful tips to combat the cold, save energy, and be comfortable:

  • Insulate, insulate, insulate! No matter what you heat source is, a properly insulated house keeps the warmth in, and the cold outside.
  • Stop cold drafts coming in through windows and doors. Air infiltration can contribute a large percentage of energy (heat) loss. If you cannot afford new windows, even a thin layer of clear plastic (the kind you adhere to the window frame and sill, then tighten with a hair dryer), can dramatically help slow down drafts.
  • Weatherstripping around the windows and doors, a cheap solution to keep the cold out.
  • Wrap heating ducts and make sure that the joints in the heating ducts are in tact.
  • Replace your air filters for your furnace.
  • Have you ducts cleaned. Tons of dust and other foreign objects make their way in there
  • In you have zone heating, i.e. radiant panels, baseboard, etc., heat only the rooms that you are occupying. Keep the unoccupied rooms at a lower temperature.
  • Install a programmable thermostat! An inexpensive way to save money on your heating bills as the heat comes on and cools down at certain times during the day.
  • Install window coverings and blinds that are designed to save energy. Very useful at night and during the day when your house is unoccupied.
  • Dress for cold weather! Keeping your feet warm with comfortable pair of slippers, esp. in the morning, really takes the chill off!
Thanks for reading and come back for more tips soon!

Merry Christmas!

Infrared Radiant Heating

Like the heat from the sun, our heating panels warm you and your furnishings, which re-radiate heat, creating an incredible sun-like warmth!
Panel pricing

Installation costs are comparable to traditional forced air heating systems and are significantly lower, (25-33%) of the cost of in-floor radiant heat.

Expect monthly heating costs to be between 30-60% lower than conventional heating, including gas, oil, electric, and wood burning heating systems.

Prices range from $240 for a 2'x2', 250 watt panel to $625 for a 2'x8' 2,000 watt panel. Typically, our material costs run between $2- $4 per square foot of heated space. Installation costs vary between new construction and retro fitting, generally ranging from $.50-$1 per square foot of heated space.

How our panels operate...like rays of sunshine!

We are able to convert a small amount of electricity into usable infrared radiant heat, which is reflect into the room through the large aluminum surface area on the face of the panel.

Thermal comfort is achieved within minutes and is controlled through a thermostat. Within 5 minutes the panels get to an operating temperature between 200-300 degrees F, and when you decide to leave a room, simply set back the thermostat to a lower temperature, and turn it back to your desired comfort when you return.

Our products are unique due to the fact that there in no noise, no space taken up, no maintenance, and no air movement, and only a small thermal panel that heats up you and the objects in the room.
